The
Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center
The mission of the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, a partnership
between Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital, is to provide
cancer care for the community that offers the most current therapies
and coordinates the efforts of the many providers of cancer care in
one convenient location.
If you are undergoing treatment for cancer you may qualify for
participation in a clinical trial; organized research programs that
help doctors understand which treatment is best for a particular
disease or type of disease.
Questions a clinical trial may try to answer are: Is the new treatment
safe? Is it effective? Is it better than other treatments? These
programs are voluntary, meaning you may choose to participate or
decline.
